Lag, Hiss and Various Faults ... (Learning :D ...)

Going through a few faults at the moment.

Biggest ones I'm having so far is terrible acceleration lag, especially when cold. Recently blanked the EGR's properly after they where DIY blanked before (crushed pipes and silicone). Didn't help all that much.

I also have a hiss when I boot it. I've checked hoses as best I can and I cant find any signs of problems really. I cant detect any air leaks by feel, fluid or paper either.

Can the TC ever cause a hiss as it sounds very transmission tunnel'y?

I've also been reading up about the turbo actuator too ... What's the symptoms for this?

I also believe I have an injector or 2 going down too which wont help (cant remember which where which, I'll scan the codes at lunch). Groggy starts, very rumbly for 3-5 seconds.
