HDC FAULT - Special programs not available stuck in low gear

Yesterday I got in my wife's Disco3 TDV6 and a whole Christmas tree lighted up.

- HDC Fault SYSTEM not Available
- Suspension lowering
- Special Programs not available
- Handbrake switches on as soon as the car is in N or P
- Car is stuck in low gear (and that is the worst of it all)

Nothing was recently done to the car besides normal regular services at the non-official dealer.

I put the battery on a drip-charger overnight it charged until all lights were green, did a hard reset (+/- connected for +10min), checked the rear lights, break lights and fog lights, they all seem to be working.

The car drives in low gear Crying or Very sad but the workshop is 185km's away Censored and they are all on holiday.

Anyone with a good idea that might fix the problem or at least get the car out low gear?

THANKS !!

Hello,

Mine did the exact same thing a few days ago. Get in it drive about five minutes and BONG all the lights on the dash limited gears and so on. Switch it off switch it back on again and it would sort its self out. Had codes read and the culprits were a sticking height sensor that kept the pump running until it cut out and told the car something was wrong (the five minutes of driving must of been the time taken for it to over heat ect) and the second was the brake switch that had thrown a wobbly and needed replacing.

Both suspension sensor and brake switch have been replaced and no more Christmas tree lights!

Hope this helps
