Headlamp adjusting tool
Does one exist - I guess it will look like a chuck-key on stilts, to reach down to the adjuster and rotate the crown wheel.
Does it have a LR part number? Will they SELL one? Or is the adjustment a dark art for the initiated only?

tis self leveling via suspention. did'nt think lamp adjustment was possible, or is it?

Well there's adjuster-like things there - the filament of the RHS dip bulb had sagged horribly, RAISING the beam so someone must have adjusted it DOWN - now with a new, perfect bulb, it points DOWN
So - it MUST be adjustable. 2006 D3 finally swapped for a 2016 D4 Graphite in Graphite grey. No mods
Just had the alignment modified by the dealers after the MoT noted that both sides were 1.6 below what thy should have been - wow what a difference. Even though the levelling is done through the suspension the lights have to be adjusted to the optimum level when unladed first, once that's done the suspension adjusts for differing loads etc.
Not 100% sure but I think you can manipulate the adjuster with a normal philips head screw driver, but I don't know which direction of adjuster you'd need to turn - might be a case of trial and error.LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Adjust the headlamps with a Philips screwdriver.
With self leveling suspension, make sure the vehicle is at the standard ride height.
The headlamp setting is 1.2 % below horizontal and parallel.
NAS vehicles have vertical adjustment only.
�� Rotate the adjusters A and B by an equal amount for vertical alignment.
�� Rotate the adjusters A or B for horizontal alignment.

Best tool is a 1970s Supadriv screwdriver - Pozidriv end with a perfect bearing collar for the vulnerable plastic housing. Long enough to reach the outer adjuster through the housing, too.
All I could do is raise the offside level with the nearside, but it still doesn't "blind" anyone.

I had a look at mine ( athough it was a bit dark ) ..if its the ones i think they are ..there is a V1 and V2 stamped next to what looks like a small nut with a notched wheel attatched ...G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Can't see the V1 etc at this time of night, but it's a 9-10mm hex bolt-head with a 20mm diameter attached collar, notched like an Elizabeth I ruff collar( ). The inboard one is easily visible behind the bulkhead; the outboard one is accessed through a 20mm-ish hole in the bulkhead above the lamp.
On each one there is a cutout in the plastic housing such that when you poke the pozidriv-type screwdriver end INTO the plastic recess, the cross-blade of the screwdriver acts like a pinion to the crown-wheel of the adjuster bolt.
Clockwise to raise beam.

Does anyone know if this assembly is the same for coil sprung LR3's? I am trying to aim my headlamps, and can't seem to accomplish it.

Sorry not to have the direct answer to your question. I am sure TFC (10forcash) will know from service experience and TLO (The Large One) from selling headlamp units.
I decided to post for 2 reasons
1. to bump your thread to the top
2. to point out that the adjusters ARE difficult to spot - I had no idea they were there until I had removed the whole unit to change the bulbs (to Philips Extreme ). Once you know where they are on the unit you still have to hunt for access to them in situ and IIRC you need a long driver.
There must be an adjuster there - have you tried removing the unit? PM me for details of that if it helps...
