I thought someone posted on here they had ? I was briefly inspired to look at taking mine apart to remove the remnants of the exploding H7s but decided it was too much faffing about.

Good call M3! Might just do that for now. I have actually got a piece of tape on the dash to keep the flashing light from my eyeline!

Hopefully got a second hand unit sourced, just awaiting a confirmation photo.

True, way too easy!! You could just take the indicator bulb out though. Whistle

I just tried swapping the headlamps over. The fault code moves with the headlamp.

That proves it's the light unit then. Thumbs Up
Last chance saloon: Have you tried removing all bulbs to make sure a dead short within one bulb isn't causing the thing to gimp out?

If that doesn't work, bend over and grip something solid, your wallet is about to be rectally removed. Shocked

All bulbs ok and working as they should, even the HBA is working as well as it normally does. Cornering halogens come on as they should.

The only thing that is not working is the self levelling and steering movement of the AFS Xenon. I could live with this, but it’s the annoying flashing warning light!

£580 including vat from Dan, so will keep the piece of tape on the dash whilst I save up, and work on my buttock clenching reflex !!

Had a few secondhand options, but all are either non AFS, or not actually available.

There are pattern parts but still expensive and nobody seems to be able to say they are actually any good. My car has wanted for nothing over its life, so best stick to genuine parts I think.

Darrind, pm me if you want. I presume you will be wanting to shift as a pair, which may be too rich for me!

Anyone need a left hand headlamp?

Broken wire found! Also a couple of melted wires in there. The plastic reinforcer that guides the wires around the end of the chassis was the cause. Zip ties cut into the wires.

All fixed now with new wires patched in and looser zip ties fitted.

Thanks to Dan at Duckworths for all the help, much appreciated. Thumbs Up

The dealer diagnosis is that it needs a new right hand headlamp, as the mechanism has failed and is not replaceable. £850 plus vat, ouch!

Now to see how good WD are!

what did I say about "dealer-speak" ???
