Is yours like mine? Changed main beam bulbs yesterday and thought at first I'd lost a retaining clip but it appears never to have had them and uses sprung side clips instead. If that's sufficient, why do the dipped beam bulbs have clips of a more normal type?.

No mine has adaptive xenons. It’s the high beam lamp on the right hand headlamp that’s on. I’ve never touched the bulbs from new.

Well, its self repaired itself. Must have been a damp connection somewhere.

Pull the fuse.
Had a similar occurrence with the wipers on my old FL2. Can’t remember the sequence but I had to pull the fuse, ignition on and off then the fuse back in.
Think the body control module glitched.Current : Discovery 4 HSE (2012 spec)
