Headlight question

In my headlight there seems to be room for an extra lamp. Beneath the orange indicator is the clear area with the small sidelight bulb in it. However, it seems that there is a "knock-out" in the back of this for an addition lamp. A customer of mine with a G4 HSE does have a lamp here. What is it for?

Think it is where the adaptive / conering bulb goes if you have them. Not sure 'cos I don't !! Cheers Ian

Still don't know if I can add them to my light cluster or not, whichever it would appear that they wont do anything until the CCF file is modified.

hi
you can put another bulb there but it wont do anything but light.really this is for the adaptive cornering bulb.if you have adaptive there will already be a bulb there.
next to the sidelight bulb on the wiring there is another bulb holder.i suppose you could put that in the sidelight too and make your sidelights very bright

hi
i tried a bulb in the spare holder and it came on when the sidelights came on
there is a blanked hole in the long orange bit which i think is for the american spec[as i said i think]
i suppose you could put the bulb in that hole but unless you take the orange out[bigish job]
it will just be on as orange.i had the same idea on my early td5 disco,an orange sidelight which caused more trouble than good
