Heated front window fault?
Being the first day of autumn today my car (2006 HSE) was steamed up a bit. So I switched on the heated front window. Only had the car a couple of months so have not had to use this feature before.
Anyway not a lot happened except a vertical trip about 3cm wide seem to clear directly in line with the drivers vision and another vertical strip, around 1cm, in a similar position at the passengers side.
Is it jiggered.
There is a stone chip of about 8mm on the screen just about where the rear view mirror attaches (and can't be seen when driving) but I'd have though that would have affected that area or anything beyond it is the filament was damaged.
Anyone any ideas please

unlikely to be the stone chip in the middle.
When they clear they can clear in a patchy fashion, but yours doesn't sound good.
Save the pennys for when we get to winter, so you can have a new screen fitted

wondering , could the screen be replaced through insurance by paying the £75 excess or wouldn't they cover it as it's a heated one
when winter is here is there any possibility of the ice doing more damage to ur screen

@heyho
Check the make of your screen. Mine does the same and is a replacement chinese rubbish one rather than a Pilkington screen. I'm assuming that the previous owner was done out of the proper replacement screen when last changed out.Dave
