Heated Front Windscreen Probs

Part of my front windscreen heating elements doesn't appear to be working. Is there a quick fix for this or is it case of replacing said front windscreen (or windshield for those Stateside - lol)?

Many thanks,
LL

Fix is a new screen if the elements are at fault
How much isn't working? If it's all of one half it may be a loose connector

About 10% down the middle, more so the upper half of the screen towards the top. Not really too much to get concerned about, but wondered if there was a way of fixing this without the need to replace the whole unit.

The middle part is not supposed to work ...the screen is in 2 halves ..2 seperate fuses.

If you look carefully you will see no elements in the middle about 10 mm across

There is normally a vertical band in the middle of the screen that does not clear (though will when the wiper passes). There are no elements in the centre of the screen but the glass will warm up enough to clear (usually).

There are two separate panels of element in the screen.

That looks acceptable to me.

Only bit not cleared would probably clear after a few wiper swipes I would guess Shocked

BTW, you have a leaf embedded in the glass Wink

That looks ok to me too, but remeber though, if your screen has had any chip repairs you should have been told the resin KILLS the elements either side of the chip and under the chip.

In the grand scheme of things, yes, it's acceptable. Just wanted to know if there was a quick fix, but alas no.

No idea of there's been any chip repairs as I've only had the wheels for a few weeks now.

Cheers lads.
