Heated screens

Is is there any way to stopPING both heated screens coming on my 2013 HSE when I start the engine or do I have to manually turn them off every time 🤔

They will come on automatically when it's close to freezing and you can only use the magic of touch to turn them off Smile

Just give it a couple of years and the heating elements will start to turn themselves off individually...for good 😬

Yes this is annoying me too! 'Clever' is good but should always be optional.

It's funny how progress means some settings have far more options than you would ever need, but others give you no control at all.

Where I park my Disco the screens don’t always freeze up so there not needed. Just thought it’d be good not to thrash the battery on start up as it has a hard time in the cold as it is.

not tried this but based on logic of how other things can be disabled, have you tried pressing and holding the heat on/off button(s) for several seconds ?

Thumbs Up if they come on a quick digital poke with a finger turns them off. The reverse effect works.
2014 MY Discovery XS Indus Silver. Sadly gone. Second last LR of forty eight years continuous ownership.
