Heated steering wheel......

God it was cold this morning. If my car has a bum and back warmer, fuel burning heater, windscreen defroster etc etc , why didn't they stick a bit of wiring in the steering wheel to take the edge of it? I don't even think it was an option......

I thought about heated steering wheels yesterday then I thought about how soft we have all got.

Mate of mine ran an old Daewoo with a broken heater, used to dress up like Scott of the Antartic just to drive it in the winter. He now runs a Proton, whose heater works and he is in seventh heaven.

This sounds just like my old 90. Hat, coat & scarf were 'driving order' in winter, due to the combination of dreadful heater (which ate fuses) and draughty driver door. Oh and wellies in the wet. That was REAL driving.

Oh no, a ZIL with no floor and no syncro gearbox in minus 30 is REAL driving, nearly forgot, no heater either Shocked
