Hi all.
My first post here.... searched for anything similar but no trace that I can see. Anyway, my April 2005 HSE D3 (20,000 miles)has been fine up until last weekend when the heater blower stopped working..... accompanied by a burning smell. Nothing else seems affected, it's just that none of the speed variations work. Bit of a nuisance in this warm weather ! Just wondered if anyone else had experienced this. I'm guessing that it may well need a new blower motor (expensive probably ), but does anyone know if there's a fusible link or anything that I can check?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Clive,
Funny, the fuses are beside the blower motor. Drop the bottom glove box as per the owners manual and the fuse panel is to the left, you will need a torch and a some patience, fuse diagram is also in the manual, it does sound like a motor burnout. I guess you can ask nicely for some warranty consideration and see how you go.
All the best
