can the eberspacher be taken out of d3 and commisioned on another motor non disco ??

Its a Webasto. I am sure it can with the correct control unit.

It can only be turned on with commands across the CAN bus.
Probably LR commands.

Not true, it can be started and controlled with commands on the WBUS (pin 2 wire). 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

oh yeah, good point.

You can get them things off ebay for £40 to send it the WBUS commands to start it
