Heating not working

My D3 is testing me! The heating worked perfectly when I got it at the end of Feb and I went to use it today and it is blowing ice cold. The AC works, it can move air up and down and through the middle vents but it just wont get warm.

AC has been regassed recently and is very very cold. I've tried the procedure of holding the econ and recirc buttons down bit has made no difference.

I'm stumped

maybe it knows its summer ? or is this a problem in the mornings?

try pressing the eco button (turns off AC) and see if you get hot air then

This didn't help me particularly, but its something to try I guess.

Quote:
Distribution motor self-test

The motor and flap operation can be checked using the on-board distribution motor self-test function.

The self-test can be initiated by pressing and holding the ECON and RECIRC buttons while turning the ignition switch to the ON position.

The control module will then compare the current motor position with the values stored in the module and will indicate an error by flashing the ECON LED (light emitting diode).

If there are no errors, the LED will go out and the system will function normally.

To confirm that there are no errors, turn the ignition switch to the OFF position, then back to the ON position.

Observe the operation of the programmed defrost LED.

If there are errors present, the programmed defrost LED will flash and the system will attempt to calibrate itself.

For additional information on the function of the system.

I went through all solutions with coldb heater. Only new heater will give you hot air back.

As an update the coolant level had dropped a little so topped up and bled and heating perfect again. Need to keep an eye on why the coolant dropped but after a 50 mile drive today it was level so all back to normal for now.
