I will be leaving my vehicle in shortly and will be getting the updated software to sort this issue.
However, what was also said was at the same time the issue that fumes from the fuel burning heater (FBH) getting into the vehicle would be sorted. Apparently a number of owners had complained about, although I have not encountered the problem. The solution involves automatically bringing on air recirculation when the FBH is on (not sure if this is only restricted to when the vehicle is stationary or at low speeds). I am not sure if this software updated is a separate updated or is part of the "hot feet" control module update (TSB LA412-001).

I was told the fumes were perfectly normal! Was too high on them to bother to argue and went home again.

Heating & Ventilation up date. |
|
I had my up date done last week. Distribution of heat is certainly much better. The actual temperatures seem to be relative to the figures on the dials BUT the FBH does not work. The dealer assures me that it does but he was not in the vehicle at 5.30am to day and it did not work.

The heating update makes a real difference and from what I can remember air the distribution when the D3 gets warm changes from its start up setting - maybe this is what they mean ref the changes to help avoid dragging in the FBH fumes ?
Definitely new noises now as the D3 warms up and it adjusts air distribution though.
I now have mine set to 18 and not 23 to keep me warm as the air from the face vents is not cold anymore - either off or warm.
much better

Had mine done today, the HEVACS seems much 'smarter' and the temperature is much closer to the setpoint, the mapping also changes dependent upon the status of the rear heating (off / follow me / independent) Well done LR

The update in question deals with these two HEVAC issues (temperature distribution and FBH pong) and also rectifies the intermittent chassis system warnings mentioned here http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3191.
Tune download 12.90.13 covers a series of issues - affecting VINs up to 6A380334.
So, if you haven't had the car into the dealers since Christmas, and you are experiencing these issues, tell the dealer to check out SBs LA412-001&2 and LA308-001. A rarer fault, which includes a suspension drop to access height is covered by LA303-005, with DTC P0401.
WDS13, plus patch, resolves these, which are all software related.
