Crashed D3 on A28 yesterday in NL.

2 front occupants could exit the vehicle on their own. Rear passengers had to be freed by firemen.

@def110.

Sorry to hear this mate ! I live near the A28 around Nunspeet. Where did you have the accident ?
I drive to The Hague almost every week along Utrecht and the A12...

Hope you all turn out to be OK.. If you want another D3 in mint condition ; my kids don't want to
come along anymore so I don't really need it anymore. Bought an F-Type for SWMO and me..

That's a big hit.
I am convinced, following my own rather big hit in my previous (x2) D3 that it is a VERY safe car.

Looks like the crash structure end of the Armco did its bit too. Nice big lump of crumpled Armco there. That and the car working as designed means annoyed but alive occupants. Thumbs Up

Looking at the second link with the video, I think it's UK registered and appears to be RHD looking at the wipers.

Indeed, and you can see the front passenger wasn't wearing a seatbelt because of the bump in the windscreen.

I’d doubt a driver not wearing a seatbelt would walk out of that without injury, esp if head connected with screen. I was thinking that damage to the screen could be the engine moving back into the firewall/bulkhead, forcing it up a bit and the screen warped when it met the resistance from the front edge of the roof?

If a passenger had hit the screen and caused that damage, they would be seriously injured (at least), but the upper windscreen damage does look rather like a head strike. Airbag deployment is likely to have damaged the screen too (but lower down). It is possible that something inside the car (unrestrained) hit the screen, so the occupants had an extremely lucky escape.

Perhaps the passenger had a crash helmet on? Whistle
