Heavy duty tow bar install problems

Hi posted this on an old thread in the D3 tech board sonthought I would cross post, apologies if i have broke and rules.

I boought a the heavy duty tow bar and went to fit it this evening. Is the pin at the top meant to retract as it is not budging. Had a few taps with a hammer to no avail, I feels like this is stopping the bar locating and I am 5mm short of the piston thingy deploying and securing. The recieving socket is pretty clean and free of rust.

I have a new lock for it could someone be kind enough to pm me lock changing instructions ?

I am also after some advice in bolts. The kit never came with the bolts for the bar to the chassis. Can anyone advise on what I should use. LR want £35 for the bolt pack of 8 for the kit.

The bolts for the chassis are already in the chassis. 18 or 19mm ISTR either side of the spare wheel, undo the inner bolt, the rest is a threaded insert retained by the bolt on the other side of the chassis.

Anyway, have a look and you should see what I mean.

Bolts & spacer not neccesarily in place on a D4 (infact, unlikely to be so)! I had to fit them on both of my D4's.
