Height sensor ?
Morning Folks.
Having a little problem with my suspension every so often it show a fault and says max speed 30 mph.Sometimes it will correct itself others i will cycle the ignition and it will go. if i have the 4x4 dislay on it shows the front drivers wheel moving up and down to the red line.
So the question is does it require a height sensor or could it be something else and if it is a sensor does it require calibrating.
Many Thanks.
Rich.

Sounds like it could be the height sensor or wiring if the wheel is behaving oddly on the 4x4 display. You could try disconnecting the sensor and exercising it over the full travel / cleaning off any crud that's accumulated.
Otherwise a new sensor is about £65 but keep an eye out for people selling the full set for a bargain price. They're often on eBay. And yes, it will need calibrating.2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

I think any IID can do the calibration though - it's one of the features that isn't VIN locked (IIRC).2016 Skoda Octavia VRS Estate

One of the site sponsors was doing a full set for about £50 on Ebay. I've got a set in the garage, just in case!

I've just suffered the Suspension Fault and Max Speed 30 mph warning. Reading the codes from the IID tool led me towards the front right height sensor while parked up at Kinross services.
So....wiggled the arm on the sensor, fiddled with the connector, calibrated the suspension and all seems well. Managed to make it up the A9 to Applecross with no further mishaps. Phew.
As all seems well, would you lovely people here recommend that I replace that sensor anyway, replace both the front ones, or replace all 4? Or....risk it for the trip back down the A9 in a fortnight?
I've seen a few for sale by the usual suspects but can't decide between "OEM" or "Original Equipment" or "Land Rover Genuine Parts" There's quite a price range between these options....
Thanks in anticipation for some really helpful replies!D1 300Tdi - gone
