| Height Sensor - How can you tell when failing? |

Hi guys/girls
Suspect me height sensor may have failed or failing. Over past week when we unhitch the trailer, the d3 would normally interact and as the hitch comes off the ball the d3 would expell air from the suspension and lower slightly... not getting that.
Normal road height is slightly higher until you engage the level whereby the display comes up with "access height selected" then a few seconds later "normal road height selected" with just a very small difference on the height (lower).
Also noticed t'other day when getting out, creaking to o/s rear 
At the moment I've put ot down to the intergalatic mileage we do, the naff road conditions with salt/spray/rain/snow,winds oh and the fact that the trailer has air suspension as well 
These were taken this morning, not started up, we run on 17's by the way

Mine doesn't creak but at times it farts and settles down a little, even though I haven't moved the lever to access height.
I reckon that's normal though and is just adjusting to the terrain.
Sorry it's not much help for yours. I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

oh yea it always "farts" when you lock him up as normal with no trailer attached

The creaking is probably ARB bushes

Rear ones are easy, less than an hour to do both sides, parts don't cost much. Front ones are a different story altogether,  spray some lubricant on them as a temp fix

spoke to TLO, all four arb's done under warranty in June 08, at 225,000 miles at the same time as the second cam belt change

Could be wishbone bushes corroding onto the centre bolt then, TBH difficult to guess at without being with the vehicle

Character, I think your creaking could be the park brake. Mine does exactly the same thing. If you try to rock the vehicle forwards and backwards against the park brake, I think you will hear what I mean.
So long as the PB is working, I'd leave well alone

cheers for that gareth, will try at the weekend to move me beast, but what about the road height?
Selected the down lever on the all terrain, message comes up "selecting access height" the car then drops a few inches then the message comes up as "normal driving height " selected (or similar) with the height staying at the new selected height.
Turn off and come back, re-start, vehicle then moves up to the orginal height prior to any alterations as seen in the photo

your disco will probably look like a lop sided dragster if your height sensor is gone also make sure there is no mud or crud stopping the sensor from moving
