Help for an American Idiot Please
A nice friend just sent my motor a present - a custom Great Britain front number plate and frame
However, I don't have any pre-drilled holes in the bumper (we don't have front plates where I live) and the frame came with no screws or instructions.
There are a million holes to chose from in the frame. Thought it best to ask the experts how they affix it to the bumper before I start drilling. What kind of fasteners work best & how many?
BTW the number is 3PH UGP. I didn't understand it at first until they explained
3PH~EPH~F
U~You
GP~Green Peace
My friend has heard me carry on a bit but didn't want me to become a victim ha! Me & Rubber Ducky will appreciate it though.I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?

Why dont you try the special auto grade double sided sticky pads, a lot of cars over here use them to fasten the plates on, saves drilling!, only thing is if the Florida heat would affect them, ask at your local Auto supplies, its a start

Plate
A lot of our D3s have the plate mounted with double sided sticky things and not screws. You may consider this for attaching the whole lot as both an easier option, and the ability to remove it without any evidence, for resale of the car etc
You could use the same sticky method for trial fitting before commiting with the drill
The plinth just screws on with a self tapper in each corner
D3's don't normally come with the plinth nowadays in the UK though, the plate is mounted straight to the front bumper cover, I'd try this method with the adhesive padsThe End

See I never would've thought of that - much better idea than me with a drill! I will go and check it out, hope it'll work in the humidity here Thank you very much!! I'm not so good at giving advice...may I offer you a sarcastic comment instead?
