Bad luck but wouldn't it need to be the same code adapter too?

More trouble than they are worth those lock nuts.

How are you getting on? Still there? I know decent recovery services like the AA carryva good selection of lock nut adapters

Good luck

Managed to limp the car to a safe location and will leave overnight.
I will have to try and get hold of one somehow tomorrow am.

I can’t seem to find any markings on the offending items, they definitely won’t be going back on.

Sadly, there's about 20 different types and each has a letter designation.
The chances of someone being close by is slim, and hardly any chance that they'll have the correct socket.

When you get up and running again, swap the lockers for regular nuts. Wink

These are what I have, if anyone has any ideas.
Sorry about the pics in the gallery

Anyone got any idea what size they are, thinking of hitting a socket straight over the top with a lump hammer in hope of getting enough grip to loosen it off.
Unfortunately not that close to home so unable to take all my tools with me

I drilled a large hole and hit a large torx bit into the hole and managed to carefully unscrew the nut, at least you only have one to do.

I have two ideally as one either side, unfortunately the car is in the middle of nowhere with no power to hand, hence hoping I may be able to smash a socket on top and hopefully get some grip.
I can do the other one once i get the car home, hopefully.

There are two parts to the locking wheel nut the main body of the nut and then a collar and both have the grooves.
When you put the locking wheel nut key on to the nut it passes over the collar and on to the nut itself. When you turn the key it turns both the collar and the nut together.
If you bang a socket on it will most likely just turn the collar and not the nut. The nut and collar will then not line up and even if you get the socket off you wont be able to use a locking wheel nut key to get it off.

Are you a member of a recovery company? Or have you thought of using a tyre inflator to pump the tyre up and get the car to a dealer?

Hi,
I am not with a recovery company unfortunately.
I tried using a small pump to inflate the tyre but only managed to make it less than 2 miles before going down.
I am now considering trying to fill it with Slime Car Tyre Puncture Repair Kit. I have one in my wife's car as that has no spare whatsoever.
IF this works I can then hopefully get it to a tyre place to get the blasted wheel off.

That should work, did you find the leak? Make sure is not a perished valve as the tyre slime wont fix it but super glue might.

I aways used to carry tyre string when i used the do a lot of off roading as you can plug holes very quickly and although its not a permenant repair it alway lasted until i could make a proper repair.

Hi,
I am certain it's not the valve, but cant see anything in the tyre.
However if I inflate it, I can hear the air going out on every rotation.

Hopefully that Slime will be enough to get me to the nearest tyre place who can hopefully get the wheel off.
