Help identifying a part that’s potentially leaking D3

Hello first time posting on here sorry if I put it in the wrong place.

I’m looking for some help/advice.

I have a 58 plate 2.7 tdv6 - I noticed a small patch of something on the floor over the weekend underneath the passengers front tire. Checked under and looked and there was something all over the boot of the track rod end that connects to the steering rack which I assumed maybe leaking but I got under today to have a closer look and there’s a pipe directly above it which appears to be covered in something I say something because I don’t have a clue if it’s oil or steering fluid or what can anyone advice?

I thought maybe the steering rack had started leaking but not I’m thinking whatever is above it is probably what’s leaking and it’s just going on top of the boot and rolling off.

I’ve attached some pictures. Thanks in advance.
