Help needed - Memory map - touch screens - Vista

I`ve installed a Lilliput 8" touch screen running off a laptop with Vista and memory map. The memory map works fine in the vehicle when only on the laptop plugged into the inverter.
The problems start when the touch screen is connected Twisted Evil as soon as i turn the inverter on it causes interference on the touch screen, and sometimes causes the laptop to blue screen Evil or Very Mad
If i only use the laptop and plugged into the inverter it will run all day without a problem Very Happy
I can resist everything except TEMPTATION
Can Am Commander 1000XT
Seen the light and bought a 4Motion T5

why not ditch the invertor and use a convertor instead.

I've had endless hassles with cheap invertors and laptops . As CW said either go for a 12 v convertor or a pure sine wave invertor (quite expensive)

Sonic,

my advice is to get a Panasonic Toughbook CF-07 if you can find one. I have ran Memory Map on one of these for several years now and it is flawless.

But I'd never run it with an inverter. Use a 12V laptop adaptor. Even a cheap one would be better than a pure sine inverter for running a laptop.
