help starting my lr3 back
hello im new to the forum sorry if i post this on the wrong spot. but if anyone can help me and point to the right direction or show me another post with the similar situation that'll be greatly appreciated.
so i have an 4.4l v8 lr3 SE and everything was working fine.. one day i luckily got home safe but before i turned off the car i noticed several things occurred.
HDC fault not available
transmission fault
suspension fault and lowered
hazard lights flashing on their own
locks are cycling to lock and unlock
once i turned it off. i cant start it up but the hazard lights flashes all the time now.
i ran a diagnostic with my autel scanner. a lot of codes popped up.
majority of my codes lead to instrument cluster module lost communication.
so i called a land rover friend of mine and he recommended me the gap tool.
and he said he is sure the instrument cluster module is my issue.
before i pull a trigger on buying the gap tool i have another LR3 same year and trim.
i took out the instrument cluster/Transfer case module/ecu/bcm & fuse box/air suspension module from my spare parts car. and now the LR3 starts but HDC not available and my brake light under the temp gauge is on. and my air suspension compressor doesnt even turn on. it stuck on a low position.
but the car starts up.
once in a while the hazard light flash and the lock cycle.
oh i forgot, i used the old key from the spare parts car and it works with the remote and starts the car..
12 hours later the car still starts but the compressor doesdnt turn on.
what should i do? thank you greatly. and apologies for the long post.

I’d be really careful about swapping parts out at random as the parts from your spare parts car may introduce their own issues on top of the ones you have.
From the basics, is your battery 100% good? D3s are very particular about having a good battery and you’ll get lots of random faults showing once it starts failing2008 HSE Stornoway Grey
