Help in the Warminster area.

Hi,

Not sure if it's in the correct section but.....

I have been told of a mobile diagnostic service in the Warminster BA12 area who uses a Gap IID.
I need the steering angle setting on my 2005 D3, my Foxwell isn't capable of doing it correctly. I don't want to drive it with the suspension down to an Indy, and because of Covid-19 a lot of money has been lost and can't afford one myself right now.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Thank you.....Graham

Sorry can't help, but notice you are in Horningsham; I visit The Bath Arms 4 or 5 times a year.

It will be interesting to see what it's like after the current refurbishment.

Thanks for your note....

Yes we're interested also. A little disappointed with a meal we had there last year unfortunately.

But more disappointed that the Bath Arms in Crockerton has closed down. We thought the food there far better. Sad times when a good pub closes.

Graham.

As above I’m in Warminster but mine is vin locked. If you ring R&E in Salisbury, James one of his mechanics lives in Warminster and may be able to help Thumbs Up .

We’ve been really lucky in the Bath Arms have have had nothing but a good time in there.

Thank you all for your replies. I'll just have to get a Gap as soon as I'm able.

But by the way, how far can one drive it with the suspension down ?

Thanks again.....Graham

I drove my D3 about 10 miles when the suspension lowered onto the bump stops mid journey. Diverted straight to the garage mind. No lasting damage caused Thumbs Up

Cant you bridge out the relay and get the compressor to pump up the suspension. It would be too dangerous to drive on the road fully lowered if you hit a pot hole you could lose control

Once again thank you. I don't want to go far only into Warminster (5 miles at the most) seems the gentleman who I take our cars to for MOT knows the mobile diagnostic guy.
But doesn't really make things simpler, I still need the Gap. The Foxwell is great for my D2 V8, reads and corrects all faults on that but will only read and fix a few things on the D3.

Your (our) chance to see what's what is when the Bath Arms opens on the 24th July. Hope the unpleasantness will have settled more by then. But it'll be almost the right time for our anniversary meal which is what we were disappointed with last year.....
But let's enjoy and by then I'd hope to have a Gap......

Hello,

As I've not been able to find a mobile diagnostic service or find someone to help and now that I'm able to walk and do things again I'm going to have to buy my own Gap iid this week. Hopefully be able to sort out the steering angle and any other items. Is there anyone to buy from. Checked prices and Island 4x4 and Bell Auto Services seem to offer the best prices. Any advice please ?
Thank you.
