HEVAC night time illumination

Just a quick question to ask if the Blue/Red portion of the rotary temperature controls for the aircon should be backlit at night?

I ended up driving back late last night, (the first time I'd driven the vehicle in the dark), and was a bit surprised at the way the heating controls were illuminated. It's not a problem, as the temperature readout is clearly visible, but as my Disco is heading back to the dealers next week for the 7th time in 8 weeks of ownership, it would be good to know if this is a fault, or just the way it is.

The fault this time is that the '-' Command shift paddle works, but the '+' one doesn't - even though it illuminates at night Big Cry

Any chance anyone could have a look at their interior lights tonight for me?

A quick update on the '+' paddle shift - it works perfectly if you don't have the lights switched on, but at soon as you turn on the side lights, it stops working Rolling Eyes Sad Confused

From what I can remember on my 2010 XS there isn't any illumination round the dials themselves. I was a bit surprised by it as well.

Just in case anyone ever has the same paddle fault. The problem was a short in the wiring loom between the two paddles in the steering column. Marshalls Lincoln replaced the loom and all is now fine Smile

It's only fair to say that the service received from Steve Hill, (their Service Manager) has been great!
