You have 2 gear ratio faults, and most certainly the cause of your issues

These faults can be caused by a badly worn torque converter,

Interesting. As I didn't have any cattle grid effect I assumed the TC was ok. But it can cause incorrect ratio too ?

If the lock up on the torque converter is not working properly and slipping a bit it can affect the calculations in the actual gears. It may not be slipping enough when in gear to actually trigger the converter slip DTC.

people often put 'dr tranny' in with grearbox oil changes 'for good measure' or to cure slipping torque converters this dyes the whole oil red.

to be fair its actually good at prolonging torque converter life if the begin to slip

Read recent post where the correct spec oil can be red, cant remember who made it but someone checked the spec and it was right.

At least I dared to fully flush my transmission with red colored ATF, so ~ 10 L brown old fluid was exchanged for ~10 L new fluid. Approx. 6600 km later I’m still truckin’ and have no complaints whatsoever. Thumbs Up

The manufacturer, BG, lists theirs to be equivalent or exceed the specifications for ZF Lifeguard 6 and a bunch of LR product codes.

YMMV.
