Hi Guys, I'm Back..(well kinda, I'm now in Sydney Australia)
As some may recall I had an optioned up 2005 HSE from new. Well we've emigrated to Sydney now and sadly didn't have enough cash to bring our Discovery
But not to worry as I've just put a deposit on over here, so I'm back in the club!
Some points to note about Aussie Land Rovers:
1. They are loads more expensice 2nd hand here than the UK
2. The specs are not the same as the Aussie models lose out on many features For example no sat nav on HSE models, no Moon Roof option etc..
3. There's a third engine option being a V6 4.0 petrol. Just drive it and runs ok, was actually in the car I brought. I know I'm going to miss the TDV6 though...
4. Genuine servicing and spares are hopelessly expensive as well.
So basically, you pay more and get less.
Not going to put me off though and look forward to posting pictures of my car (prior to speccing it up).

Welcome and enjoy.
Oh - you talk about the high prices in Aust when compared to the UK, and that is true, but remember we have an abnormal exchange rate at the moment meaning from the Aust aspect, prices are very cheap in the Uk. At the moment $1AUD will buy about 60p but when the exchange rate gets back to normal it will only buy 40p - so Aust prices compared to the Pound will be much less.
