I wouldn't bother. Its a clever bit of kit but can take way too long before recognising oncoming traffic and deactivating. Unless this doesn't bother you, of course..

Agreed, tried mine a few times and now it's perminantly switched off. It's too slow to recognise oncoming vehicles or tail lights, and switches to dipped when I'm approaching a reflective sign. Waste of time.

And no, that doesn't mean my mirror is available for swapping. Laughing Laughing

It’s on the FF and I’ve really tried to get on with it, but it really is hopeless. It’s a 2017 car, so it’s a recent release; I ran it for the first 10,000 miles and tried to live with the problems, but it’s now switched off - permanently!

Odd one out, use it all the time, sometimes I think I should have dipped by now, I leave it alone it dips, never been flashed. Saying that with the final facelift lights they are not great, previous lights that I had on the MY12 version were a much better light, so might induce flashing on a lazy dip.
Only time I turn it off is when there is a bit of mist about, it seems to confuse it and fails to dip correctly.

Happy with it on the 2011 I have, had to switch it off twice as it didn’t dip, generally spot on though.

If you can get the parts cheap I’d say do it.

Well I gave it another go. Over shade under 20 miles in the early hours I got flashed 4 times by trucks, and had to jump in and manually dip the lights 3 times at least. Plus it kept on dipping every time it saw it's own light reflected in a road sign. There was no consistancy, sometimes it would dip when the oncoming vehicle was several hundred meters away, sometimes a couple of hundred meters, sometimes that close when the lorry flashed me. I won't be trying it again as I was driving with my hand on the lever ready to manually over-ride it, I may as well do the thinking for it and push/pull the lever.

I've always specced it on previous cars and have found it to work brilliantly, unfortunately because I didn't order the Landmark it hasn't got it and I really miss it, never had anybody flashing me because it didn;t work quick enough Confused

DSL wonder if your sensor is a bit out of calibration

mine will drop on a sign reflection sometimes and its not 100% perfect for sure but what your describing dosent sound right to my experience.

once you loose confidence tho it can be hard to get it back

That's what I thought, maybe I've over-egged how bad it was, so gave it another go. Pos something out of whack but not worth the hassle/cost of getting it checked. It gives me something to do (push/pulling the lever) in the wee small hours. Thumbs Up

I'm sure we had it on our 07 D3 and it was brilliant, worked really well, from memory it even had a setting for RH/LH if driving abroad. On our 3 subsequent D4's it's way to slow to recognise oncoming cars
