High frequency loud static noise from rear speaker |
|
Hi,
I have some very loud and annoying, but intermittent, static interference noise coming out off the rear speaker, even with the sound system switched off. It sometimes starts as soon as I open the car, before even getting in or switching the ignition on. When I disconnect the amplifier the noise stops. Any experience of this? Could it be the amplifier (easy fix) or one of the inputs (not so easy!)
Thanks for any help.

seen this reported before but can't think who/when.
have you got a sat-nag plugged in ? some need ferrite beads on the power supply to stop interference with other kit. .

No, totally as original installation no additional kit being used. Something has deteriorated somewhere over time.
