Hill Descent Fault, Special Functions not Avail, Suspension
Evening all,
Hoping I may get some help from those with more knowledge of these vehicles. I've only had my D3 for 2 months, but I have this issue.
17 miles (not time, always 17 miles), I get the bong, following with the three messages on the display;
Hill Descent Failure
Special Programs Unavailable
Suspension Lowering
Now the suspension lowers, but apart from that drives fine. If I stop, switch it off and on again it clears. 17 miles later, does it again.
Ive checked battery terminals
Battery New
Changed brake light switch
Bit lost at where to go now? Any idea guys, or anyone local with a proper IID tool for the D3?

It could be many things and far too many to list here. For that reason the best way forward is to have the diagnostic codes read.
This will point you in the right direction, and likely it's a small issue easily resolved. yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Sounds like a wheel speed sensor, codes should help identify which one...

Get yourself an Autel diagnostics machine for £50 it will be cheaper than getting the codes read by a garage.Andrew

Simple thing to check is if the brake bulbs are working (and if I recall there are 2 per side?) AND not cheapo LED ones as those can cause issues.Disco 3: Lotus Elise S1: Ferguson T20: Audi A2

Thanks for the suggestions. Been too busy with the D2, but driving the D3 again today reminded me of this fault. One thing I have noticed, if I leave it parked for a few days in access mode, it drops really low on the rear, and the compressor appears to run a lot more than usual. WOuld this be a possible issue bringing the code up? Hopefully ill remember to plug it in tomorrow.
