Well the dreaded thing happened, a lane near my house has been closed for roadworks for a few weeks and traffic still keeps coming through the 'road closed' and 'residents only ' signs (well you never know it might just mean driving up a bank or something )
anyway I'm stationary waiting for 2 or 3 cars in front to do 360's when one of them, said spotty Oik your worship, decides to impress ( ) us all with half a handbrake turn in his A reg Monza (remember them, 3 litre I think?) anyway said oik over cooks it, keeps the power on, steps the rear out left, straightens but clips the kerb which then skews his rear right and into the front offside of my LR, the impact straightens him out and he guns it off into the distance. Horrible panel crunching sound on impact and a shower of glass to accompany it. Several witness's come forward including 2 of the workmen at the roadworks.
I know your all feeling my pain guys and girls and my poor son does too, him having asked for a lift to the station and wanting me to take the D3 .
Fortunately for me and my son, and unfortunately for said spotty Oik, I declined to take the D3 and took my 110! You know, the one with all that chequer plate. off road protection, A bar and light guards The workmen were having a right laugh, "look he hasn't even scratched it!"
Also unfortunately for Oik a golf Gti driver took off after him, pulled him over, told him he'd seen it all and then came around to my house with his reg'd no. " he hasn't half smacked his rear end in!"
There is some justice in the world D3 TDV6SE

Sure the D3 would have stood up very well, but my 110 is a 1988 with plenty of er.. 'character' already D3 TDV6SE
