Holding gears

Hi Guys,

My D4 likes to hold gears to 2200-2500 rpm in drive. The dealer says this is the expected range, but it's terrible for fuel economy.

Is this right and is there anything that can be done?

I've reverted to driving in command shift all the time.

Thanks, Paul

That sounds about right to me. Peak torque does not start to be delivered until after 2000 , so unlikely to do it much quicker.

Changing gear between 1000-2000 is missing out on so much ooomph Thumbs Up
 Cheers Ian
