Holiday in Scotland - Looking for a cottage

Seriously off-topic,

we're planning our 4th trip to Scotland in the summer of next year,
what we're still looking for is a cottage for one week, not too expensive, for 2 adults and 2 kids
region prefereably Midlothian,
We found two in the South of Edinburgh by internet, but both are fully booked already. Mad

thanks in advance,
cheers,

A friend of mine has self-catering cottages at Cockburnspath, on the coast, about 56 kms southeast of Edinburgh. For further details please contact [email protected]

Hi Nessie

Don't know if you have got this one sorted yet but here is an option:

http://www.lazy-days.me.uk

This belongs to my favourite lady (appart from SWMBO) and is currently available during the summer except the Last week of July & First week of August.

Get in touch with 'Shona' from the contact page and mention 'JMC' for a good deal Wink

After all, my wife apparently did find something Rolling Eyes

Nevertheless, I'll keep the above, you never know.
It certainly won't be the last time visiting Scotland 8)

I live in Edinburgh, but I would recommend the town of Elie and Earlsferry just an hour north of here in the East Neuk of Fife - don't know if that's too far away from where you're looking?
It's a super destination for families, and many spend the whole summer there; we do. Set in the countryside and on an award winning gold beach, it's full of sports, golf and watersports facilities. (Sounding like a salesman now..!)
Look at www.elielet.co.uk for accomodation.

I know this is an old thread and things change, even one of the links is no longer available.

I have been asked by friends to look for possible holiday cottages in Scotland for between 4-8 persons, they never specified a period either so I know that's not going to help much; but any recommendations greatly appriciated.

Thumbs Up

Check out the Walk Highlands website, you'll def get something suitable there.

Not just for cottages, but great for planning any walking trips.

We have 2 self contained annexes to the house.
2 bed flat, sleeps 5 + 2 if using the lounge.
1 bed flat, sleeps 2 + 2.
Also have a studio flat but I'd have to move the gym equipment Wink

We don't advertise (although will make a site donation if booked from here) so they are mostly available.
