Hi all, I have just got hold of a homelink rear view mirror for my 2010 hse discovery, all very exciting except my existing mirror has a camera and the new one does not have the bracket for it
So I'm not sure whether to pull apart the mirrors and try to combine them or to just lose the camera which I think just does the auto main beam function, has anyone else had this issue when retrofitting the mirror?
I get a secondhand homelink mirror and my wife orders a new discovery sport hse black edition, hardly seems fair really, although I have also ordered a set of diodes so I can do the fairy light drl type mod at the weekend.
Any advice appreciated (about the mirror not the unfair allocation of car funds) D4 HSE

The door opener is listed as an Ansa and no it is not listed on the homelink site. My car came with the homelik, I did not specify it so not to wooied. However have looked and a lot of the garage openners in this country are not listed. MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

I went for Hormann due to the fact they have been going for years and are very popular in the UK so was hopeful I could get spares if I needed them.
They are also listed as being compatible by Homelink if you ever need to change

Wise words from Russell, also if it doesn't work when training it to the existing fob try binding it directly to the control unit. I had problems with my NICE gates system it looked like it had learnt from the fob but didn't work. The gate company said the latest systems uses certificates and instead they parked the car right near the gate control unit opened the box and followed the binding procedure from that and it worked !
I'm in the process of trying to combine two mirrors at the moment, hopefully will get time to have a go at the weekend and report back.

If anybody is struggling to program there homelink mirror into there gates and garage. I've got a solution it will cost about £60.00.

This is a unit that u can wire onto gates and garage door that will 100% work. Ive got this to work with the new Range Rover autobiography and sport. Ive just ordered my homelink mirror to upgrade my d4.
I own my own automatic gate company and I've happy to help if anybody needs a hand! D4 Black 2012

Hi thanks for all the advice, the gates are a French own brand from bricomarche I have also fitted a cheap Chinese wireless non latching relay in there which has allowed us to use some fobs from eBay that were only a few quid each. Hopefully one of these options will work.
I fitted the Chinese relay as while the complete gate kit was only 160 euros they wanted 50 euros for an extra fob!
I'll await the outcome of RDR's experiments before going any further I think D4 HSE
