Ordered my new D4 but forgot to add Homelink called dealer as my vehicle build is not until 19th March but apparently I am too late to addd this option Sad

Can this be added at a later date ?

Reading this thread it would appear that it is just a case of buying the Homelink mirror and swapping it with the original one that is fitted Thumbs Up

I have home link on my car from factory, If the wiring is there I cannot see any reason why it won't work.
Even if there is no wiring in the car this could properly retro fitted as all there should be is a negative and an ign source as it only works with the ign or the car running, so it should only be a 2 wire job. all the rest is done inside, the hardest part is pairing the remote to it, took me several tries to get it.
You can go to the homelike site and down load the instructions how to do it and if your garage door is supported and what type blipper you have.
Expect to get a sore finger and an arm ache as you could spend an hour or so doing it.

Don't quite know what home link is, but I have fitted a GSM receiver to my electric gates, by dialling a phone number that is not answered(only rings once) I (or any phone authorised) can open the gates from anywhere there is a phone signal, even abroad if necessary. This unit can operate anything that can be switched on/off/opened/closed by a push button, switch or timer, cost about £60.
So simply by using the steering wheel phone controls I can open my access gates when I am 1/2 mile from home, they are then open when I get to them.
The unit is made by a company in Liverpool and have an excellent after sales service, it is also suitable for the Webasto heater fitted to a D3 Thumbs Up
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.
