House numbers in SATNAV

Yesterday I was picking up some parts for my D4 and the seller gave me his address and post code, when i tried to enter the house number (its been there at least 10 years) I got a message back on screen that it couldn't find the house number. Is there something I was doing wrong?

My recent experience of BMW and Audi systems is that they let you choose post codes, street names and house numbers.

Just because the house number has been around for 10 years in the real world doesn’t mean that NAVTEQ (HERE nowadays) would be aware of it, unfortunately....

Yep, another reason why D4 satnav is crap. especially useless when the nav brings you to the road you need at a T junction and then its guesswork as to whether the house you need is left or right.

Try the same address on the TomTom, I've had the same happen and TomTom did the same.
