HSE sunroof - cracking arms - LR recall

I read here somewhere that the retracting arms on the HSE sunroof have the potential to crack and splinter.

I understand that there was a recall and the parts within the sunroof were replaced by the dealer.

My question (and i think i already know the answer) is will the dealers still honour the recall on my 2005 D3 that is out of warranty?

I have had no problems with the sunroof as yet but i would like to know where i stand. If the dealers won't do the recall work now then i guess i just stop using the sunroof.

I'm guessing that if they won't honour the recall it is an expensive fix!

Has anyone else had the recall work done? Can i get it done now?

I also have a 2005 HSE which had the cracked sunroof arms.

I got mine replaced just out of warranty but the new ones are now cracked too! Crying or Very sad

I must say though, I have had no issues at all with the sunroof mechanism, cracks or no cracks.

I'm the same - no issues at all, it works great!

I just don't want to open it and hear some horrific crunching noise and get landed with an enormous bill from the local Stealer.

Have you spoken to the dealer again about replacing the replacements?

Even if they agreed, it is too far to travel from Alicante (Spain) to Bristol Laughing

D'oh! not spotted that you were over there.

You guys are in for a good game of footy tonight. Hopefully Spain can thrash the Germans!

I might ring $tafford Land £over and see what they say. I'm sure they'll charge me just to answer the phone!
