How Do I Hang My Spots???
Just back from Pilling Land Rover, Welwyn Garden City.
They just supplied & fitted my New LR 'A' Frame.
£200 for Frame & £112 for fitting - 3 hrs labour for £112 ..not bad eh?
Anyway, a quick look before I drove home, and I cann't see where I can hang my Spot Lights from!!!
On the section where I would have thought, there is a bracket which secures the Frame to the Grill.
I know this has got to be the place to fit, but how do I go around it with this bracket in place???
By the way, put the LR Bonnet decals on the 'A' Frame.
Think it looks OK, but will need to remove the decals on bonnet leading edge.
First look from close up and you think you've got double vision.
Will post pics later.I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

Its very straightforward (well this bit is). They are mounted in the same place (and using the same bolts) as the two part plastic clips between the A Bar and the Grill - I have actually binned those clips on mine now - its damn near impossible to get the grill off with them in place Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Looked at fitting instructions on LR site, but not giving sufficient instructions on hanging from 'A' Frame [plenty about mounting to bumper].
I'm not using LR Spots ..... don't know if they have a different fitting to the standard Bolt, Nut & Washer system?
Is there a bracket I need to buy??I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.

The key thing is that for each one, your mount point is a flat square about 1 and 1/2" across - you'll need two holes in it - for the bolts you already have in your A-Bar, which currently hold on those plastic clips which go across to the grill. The LR lamps come with plastic blocks which do the job - onto which the LR lights are then bolted (bolt heads covered by little LR logos).

As long as your spots have a bracket which terminates in an upward facing horizontal plate with a 9mm (there or thereabouts) hole through it!Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
