I never cease to be amazed

nearly two & a half years old, 77k on clock and still ...
I never cease to be amazed!!
In London today, got a call to say a delivery had been made but left at the local stables!!
[Tw*ts, why cann't they deliver when booked - Thurs!!! ].
Anyway cruised up the A1 to home in North Yorks [85-90mph in 3 hours].
Go to the stables - 3 Euro pallets x 6' of goods for me.
Loaded onto the D3.
It only took TWO trips including the pallets [off road down the tracks] to my unit!!
Executive Limo: the Ultimate 4X4: and a Van: ...all in one day!!! ....
and still ...
I never cease to be amazed

it's going in for service tomorrow [2k late] and I'm going to miss it!!
Crying or Very sad

Unnecessary quote removed

Delivered half a tonne of peanuts in mine today, all stowed in the back, plus 2 dogs. Still had room for more. Goes in tomorrow for a bit of warranty work, rear wiper finally packed in, parking sensors non operable, and now the glove compartment latch also finito. Last week I stuffed in 15 nests x 5 dog beds = 75 beds plus again 2 spaniels, no weight but no room for anything else though! Just the most flexible vehicle I have ever owned, and after 40k miles I still look forward to driving it.

Mine turned 77k miles today too!. Its running better now than ever. The Park Brake works, its got no suspension or steering clunks anymore, it drives straight as an arrow, and it still looks as good as the day it was new. Considering the off-road that I've done in it, the trim and paint is very robust. Crikey, I've even still got all 4 mud flaps that it came with Laughing

Mine was service this week and apart from giving me an FL1, which I seem to smash my head to bits on the A pillar, they overcharged me too!!!
I have been given the difference back of £100 without arguement.
But to get back on topic.
It's all cars to all men. It does the lot (Except open top sports which are a bit girlie anyway) without fuss.
I am going fishing on monday for 3 days with a couple of mates and we'll be camping in a couple of tents.
We had a look at how much kit was going to be taken and I thought about calling Mr Stobart!!!
But a practise load up left my mates gobsmacked at how much this car swallows, and still left the roof rack empty!!
It carried my Family around on two holidays this year to the Isle of Wight where my Father in Law said he'd never been so comfortable, just like a flying arm chair. And to North Wales where my Mum said it was great to be so high to see over the walls and feel like she was in a posh limo. Very Happy
It'll be taking seven of us to the West Coast of Ireland in August for a spot more fishing and family fun, and I just know it will do everything asked of it.

It's done it again!!
Yep, I really do never cease to be amazed.
Daughters moving house and had all her and the kids boxes all over the house.
She was going to hire a van for the day to move them.
I offered to load them on my D3 and do it for her, thinking it would be at least two to three trips.
The Bl**dy thing swallowed up the whole load in just one trip!!
2 and a half years of ownership and I love it more each day.
[wish I could say the same for swmbo Wink ]

Si1, how the hell did you manage 7 people plus two suitcases in the boot.........?

Just trying to work out the seats & you need all seven seats which leaves very little room for a handbag, let alone two suitcases.
