Should I or Shouldn't I ?
I currently have an 07 Disco 3 S with 39k on the clock with a bit of an issue with the clutch (slight judder when under load). I am about to start a new job which will mean I will be travelling 500 miles a week on A roads , some of which can be snowy in winter.
I am trying to decide what to do and my options are :
1) Take Company Car (Likely a BMW 520)
2) Keep Disco and repair clutch
3) Upgrade to a secondhand RRS with 30- 40 k on the clock
If you were in my position what would you do ?
Thanks
Steve

I have a Disco because the 520 was awful in the snow.......brilliant everywhere else.If I could have justified it I would have both.So if I was you,and you can afford it,take the company car AND keep the Disco for "when you need it"
Dealer put a new clutch on mine just before I bought it....
Flywheel £284.96
clutch kit £233.62
slave cylinder £52.50
7 hours labour £276.50
total inc vat £995.91
Just to warn you "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...
Locking rear E-diff
RLD spare wheel protector & sump guard
Extended roof rails
Series 111 mudflaps
Black side tubes,grill and vents
Timed climate remote
Hids4u interior lights
D4 Firenze my2012 HSE
D3 Java 2005 SE manual (sold, sadly, thanks for the memories)
1966 '88 Series 2a....still starts in the morning better than I do...
I'd say whatever you do stick with a LR product. Swapping down to a BMW makes me miss my disco everyday.Visit my car detailing blog at http://maksimumdetail.wordpress.com

I was pleased to see how cheap the clutch parts are my father in laws Peugeot flywheel
was over £600 alone!
To save most of your money sell the Disco now and get the 520 beemer. In the winter you place a 100kg sandbag in the boot and learn to drive the beemer safely on snow (good tyres required !).
If you can afford it easily, get the clutch done and keep the Disco for fun.

Keep the Disco. Never been much of a luxury car guy though...so I'm biased toward my 4x4's. 8)17 Discovery 5 HSE Si6, Fuji White on brown | 07 LR3 SE 4.4 Java Black on Alpaca
