Identify versions - looking to buy 🤔 |
|
Hi All,
Looking for a D4, I’ve decided it really needs to be the 8 speed version so how do I identify 6 or 8 speed from a few pictures on adverts??
Is a 8 speed version always the SDV6 or could it be TDV6?
Any reason the sDV6 is better/worse?
Any thoughts to add to the mix?

All 8 speeds have the pop up knob instead of the stick. Engine power varies all though they will all be 3.0 Ltrs and mostly if not all should be £305 to tax.

61 plate (12MY) onwards should have the 8 speed 255hp engine. Externally though they all look the same.
TDV6 and SDV6, neither will disappoint but IMO the SDV6 is just that bit better, a bit more poke. 23.5MY Defender 90 X-Dynamic SE D250 MHEV Pangea Green

Stop/Start brought CO2 down to 206 which brings road tax down to £305. Previous models without stop/start are 230 which gives a road tax of £520.
