Very impressive 
I've got one of these 10D cameras and they're great except for the time it takes to cold start. So not brill if you spot a bit of wildlife and want to do a quick snapshot - I keep toying with the idea of buying a newer one, but then that's the only thing I don't like about it.
Good find AndrewW LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

I cannot tell a lie - a friend sent it to me as a warning not to get my tools out on my camera  ; AND he tells me that if you search for
E128 Final project
on Youtube, there are lots more. I daren't - I have things to do (so SWMBO informs me!) 2006 D3 finally swapped for a 2016 D4 Graphite in Graphite grey. No mods

Recon that's one for TFC, he's probably got some of the best know how on taking them apart and parting things back together - but I don't suppose he'll have time with all his trips, recce's and work of course LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Just out of interest, has anyone got a decent 3d image of the D3. (ideally one with Abar, expo rack and lightguards)
I have a friend who has a 3d printer that will print a model one for me
