IID advice

Just had a new MAF sensor fitted today cos old one faulty with engine light and restricted performance.
My IID tool correctly showed the faulty MAF sensor.
The indy mechanic checked the fault codes and cleared them.
His was a Land Rover machine which shows up loads of faults that must have happened in the past before I owned my 2010 D4.
My question is, can the Gap IID show up these old faults or is it only the current ones?

THe IID tool won't be able to show cleared faults, only current ones.

Many thanks David. It would have been a nice feature but maybe expecting too much.
