IID CCF Edit?

Hi guys

Just got round to fitting my xenon headlight units and I need to change the ccf. I know how to change the ccf (very easy with the BT version and my iPad mini) what I'm worried about is;

- is this a bcm flash or just a ccf edit
- how long does it take
- any precautions to take
- and Can it be done on just th battery.

My battery according to my iid is 14.7v engine running and 13.0v ignition on.

I have recently enabled timed climate and it went a bit different from it is described

scariest moment was when device was showing that ignition is switching on a car has completely gone to sleep and you could hear that locking sound from steering column

i Censored myself wanted to pres start button but waited and put my hands into my pockets not to touch anything and a few minutes later it was all done

be patient and observe activity led on the IIDtool if still flashing blue there is activity do not disturb the process before it is finished and advertises it is finished as you might cock it all up

other than that iti s smooth and pleasant trip into car electronics world

i have done it on battery showing 12.45V and took at most around 3-4 minutes

for xeons shouls only be ccf edit enable and upload

good luck
G

Yeah I did the timed climate a few weeks ago it went fine as far as I can remember. It just worries me slightly that this is the bcm which is the riskiest flash Shocked

Chobby read the manual. Always a good place to start. And when the scary bits start during reflash (if it's the same as the D3) keep your eyes tightly shut. Laughing Laughing

I must confess I still haven't plucked up the courage to update the BCM. I have 3 flashes enabled in the CCF but it won't change til BCM is updated.

Last reflash was to turn Scando lights off after Poland trip, took a couple of minutes. The info screen nicely holds your hand and takes you through it. The excellent thing about GAP & Pat is they realise there are complete non techies out there and have made the system pretty much dummy-proof. Thumbs Up

Yeah, if I just change the xenon fitted tab is that a ccf edit or a flash? I have just checked the battery with a multimeter and 12.5v obviously this is the most accurate? Still unsure have messaged pat and gap
Might just have to wait for them to get out of bed Laughing

Oohhh. Definitely the right thing to do but I can't wait to see the fairy lights in action and to turn night into daylight. Very Happy

Yeah. To be fair i probably could have done it on battery alone but wasn't brave enough! It looks so good and is much better from my point of view as well. Also used my iid tool today to try and sort out an issue my dad has with his 2003 l322 the air con keeps cutting out think it's the pressure sensor. Live values seem to agree.
