do you mean the cooler - where the head of the drill is pointing to?
It is the A/C condenser.Achim

A/C Condenser for sure (callout 19712: LR018405)

Probably, if you try, you A/C doesn't work now (not cool air)
Switch off the "AUTO" A/C, without gas you can damage the compressor (compressor lubrificating oil is mixed with the gas)Discovery 5 tdv6 HSE Corris Gray Outback Engineering Limited Edition

Good job you’re not going in the summer!!
I would have thought (as a non techie) you could get it fixed out there. Might be cheaper to pick up a condenser here & take it with you. If you get on the phone now!!

From what I can see in your pictures you’ve only damaged the vanes, the vertical zigzagging bits. If so, no problem as stones often cause dents in that. If however, you’ve nicked and holed the horizontal, thicker, bit then it’s and probably need replacing.LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Just nicked what you can see with the drill bit - but it was enough for air/gas to come out for about 5 mins2011 Discovery 4 HSE

Bear in mind its a variable displacement compressor so even with A/C switched off its never truly off and still rotates as theres no clutch like a/c pumps of old, Iirc when switched off the variable bit drops it down to 1 percent.
