Just been sent a bill and Warranty Claim Rejection form.
The replacement of the 3 knackered wheel bearings that was carried out recently on the Blue Pearl. Has been rejected and classed as fair wear and tear. She had 85544 miles on the clock when the repair was carried out. The bill inc vat is £737.70.
As you can imagine I have taken this in my stride and wont bother to dispute the claim. I may pop into LR HQ later and ask if they would also like to kick me in the nuts as a good will gesture. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Perhaps you should take that approach? Nothing ventured...... 
It's seems pretty obvious from recent posts that LR are starting to regret having a 3 year warranty and so are doing whatever they can to make it totally worthless. As previously mentioned, the next time my EPB goes I'll be straight on the phone to LR when the dealer tries to charge me for it. I didn't fork out over £30k to have to pay for repairs (or "adjustments") to inadequately designed and tested kit and I don't expect to have to jack my car up and do the work myself.
And where the hell do they get over £700 for 3 wheel bearings? What are they made of? Unobtanium? I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Work on vehicle to replace 3 No wheel bearings and 2 No track rod ends £375.77
Parts
2 No Front wheel bearings @ £88.87 each
1 No Rear wheel bearing @ £41.82
2 Track Rod Ends @ £16.25
Total Parts & Labour £627.83
VAT£109.87
Total £737.70
Off to a Shogun dealer this afternoon. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Did they warn you that the claim may not have been covered by the warranty before they did the work? Bit if of a bummer if they write after us all D3 HSE V8...

As we have a Mitsubishi I warn you now, their parts and labour costs aren't any better than Land Rover dealers. It seems all of the capable offroad 4x4s get stung with this. LR, Toyota, Nissan and Mitsubishi are NOT cheap to fix, although the Land Cruiser seems more robust than the others by a big margin. I'll add Merc to the list too, as the ML with offroad pack is pretty useful offroad. I can't bring myself to put the Toureg on the list, no matter how capable it may be..... I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

No thats the gripe I have apart from the price.
The repair date is the 2nd May
The submitted date is 5th June
The Processed date is 11th June
In all fairness to J V Like they have sent me a letter saying that they have tried to fight for my corner but unfortunately lost. They have also suggested I take the case further with LRCC. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

LR really have to be careful here. LR vehicles have a reputation for poor reliability,(deserved on FL2 and earlier Discos, less so on later D3). Without confidence in the warranty I would not have purchased my D3. A reputation for poor quality and trying to wriggle out of warranty issues does not make medium / long term commercial sense.
Previously owned BMW (not X5!) went quite badly wrong out of warranty, but BMW covered the repairs as a goodwill gesture saying failure should not have occured.
Last car, MB E class, wings went rusty and were replaced foc at 8years old.
I know other people have issues with BMW and MB but, from a personal perspective, I got the back up a quality makes requires.

Andrew, I think the fact that they did not warn you that the claim may be disputed puts you in a good position. With this info you would have at least had the opportunity to make an informed decision, shop around or even source the parts, save the labour and do the job yourself.
Note to self: Must check the small print when I sign my authorisation to do work on my car when it goes in tomorrow. Who knows what can come under the banner "fair wear 'n' tear?"
Good luck with LR - threaten them with some bad press; letters to a few magazines...dont they KNOW who you are? You're like dead famous - cover shot model ' n' all that  D3 HSE V8...

Make a claim in the small claims court - Costs only about £20 but puts pressure on LR who might just not contest it because it takes up too much time! Loving the power of the TDV8!
