Immobiliser fault
Hi I have fitted a second hand passenger footwell fuse box to my 05 Discovery to find out the immobiliser now does not turn off when the key is inserted & turned to allow the car to start. The starter motor will not operate in the start position. Is this fault due to the fact the fuse box needs to be coded to the car?

The fusebox or called CJB contains the imboliser code. SO that is why it won't start

Is there a way forward with this or do I have to buy a new fuse box & have it calibrated by a Land Rover dealer

You would normally buy a kit, where all the parts have a matching imboliser code and be suited to you year of car

Immobiliser not working
Having looked online for a kit of parts to make my immobiliser work does anybody know the kit requirements as they seem to vary online. I understand why you need the CJB,ignition key & barrel, dash clocks p. Is there anything else required to make the system work. Don’t want to waste money if the kit is incomplete.

I forgot the ecu. As you stated yesterday the key needs to be matched to the other components to allow the system to operate. Many thanks.
