I LOVE green... ...any shade...

My car is VIENNA GREEN, I think the rarest colour on the whole D3 range...

This works both ways.

I'm on the Land Rover used website now. Of all of the Discos on there, there are 236 in grey/silver, 220 in black and only 13 in green.

Each one of the enquirers for a black or silver car is lucky enough to have a couple of hundred others to choose from, often from large dealers looking to churn volume rather than make margin, while someone looking for green is fishing from a very small pool. Find the green buyer and there's so much less competition for his business.

When I was looking for mine, it was a heck of a job to find the right one and when I did, I had to move very quickly and had relatively little room for negotiation.
 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4

2021 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200
2022 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200 & sidecar!

Worth noting Grey & Silver cannot be categorised as the same.

Grey is way more popular than Silver as far as sales responses are concerned.

Ukraine 2005 LR3 4.4 V8 SE Auto Tonga GreenLR3

I've had three green cars that I can remember
1. SD1 in a yuk green but I bought the car not so much the colour
2. Trooper metallic green looked great
3. LR3 Tonga Green just looks superb when clean

Aintree Green looks superb too, saw a D4 the other day and admittedly was sparkling clean but just looked understated and 'right' on a D4 even wifey liked it. I personally do not see the issue Aintree suits a D4 really well.
D3 2.7 Zermatt silver (not another one)
D3 4.4 V8 Zambezi silver
D3 4.4 V8 Adriatic Blue
D3 2.7 (gone) Tonga Green
D3 4.4 V8 LHD Tonga Green
FFRR TDV8
Defender 300

I had a green Mk4 VW Golf PD150. Picked it up at 5 months old. I think the salesman must have been new to the job because when I commented on the colour he replied "yes, it's an odd colour and not very popular". That made the haggling a tad easier straight away. Rolling with laughter

One benefit of the colour was that it was easy to find in a car park, although I did see a handful of the same colour over the next year or so.

Yes turned out OK for a base level car. My favourite project it looked stunning.

Commando Style mid (another) project:
