When I was looking for a used D4, I was very keen on the spec of an Aintree Green one, and drove some distance to view it. The colour combination looked great, but high lighted the fact that stone chips ( on the bonnet) seemed very prominent in Aintree Green, and that began to put me off the colour. I think some colours don't seem to show the blemishes as much as other colours. Due to my (then) high mileages, my cars always looked as though they had been "machine gunned" at the front (driving too fast?)

Early D3's, still the best looking of the bunch and that's just fantastic! Thumbs Up

Who remembers the SD1 V8S in Triton Green?

So very close to being a horrible shade of green, but absolutely glorious in real life Thumbs Up

I am thinking about a D5, or a used RRS2 or RRTDV8 (used). When I configure a car I really doubt about this colour. I don't think I've ever seen it 'for real' in the Netherlands.
Do you guys/girls think this is some sort of greenish colour, or is it pure grey "life" .. [ Scotia Grey].

But in daylight ; does Scotia Grey looks Grey or Green ?!! Confused

I prefer Tonga to Aintree, but still like Aintree and would have chosen it if I could have done.

+1. Aintree is just a little too blue for my taste, but it wouldn't stop me buying one. Thumbs Up

Epsom is my favourite though - not too blue, not too yellow, and not too muted.

Actually, I could see that working on a D3 if you kitted it up - roof rack, ladder, black wheels, privacy glass etc. Thumbs Up

There was a happy ending in the end; I’ve just learned that the dealer that bought my last D4 has recently sold it to someone who was specifically searching for an Aintree Green one to buy Thumbs Up
