Injector readings
After getting some excess smoke after sitting idle for 5 mins I checked the oil level which was okay, and there’s no lack of omph or whistling from the turbo so I dont think the issue’s there. I fired up the IID and checked the injector values which were quite varied.
Under load they all level out at 983, but when idling there is a fair degree of variation.
1. 1040
2. 993
3. 1095
4. 966
5. 680
6. 1182
Is it worth replacing 5 ? and seeing if that balances out better at idle or is it the other way round and all the high reading injectors are at fault ? Not read up on the system so I’m hoping someone with knowledge can give some input.
Many thanks in advance

In my case it was the low one, causing smoking to, replaced it all the rest balanced out after a few hundred miles smoking cured, done several thousand miles since no further issues. It was lower in the 500’s but had been smoking awhile and getting worse.

Thanks for the speedy reply, it was down as low as 590 but is usually hovering around the low 600’s. did you got a new injector, get your own refurbished or use an already refurbished unit ?

I had bought six second hand ones for the price of a new one, the first one I chose worked so I have five in hand and obviously one to have refurbished, No2 in my case is one of the easier ones to replace. I couldn’t have sorted it so easily without having a II D Bluetooth I was amazed it actually told me What fault the number 2 injector had glad I had also done the latest firmware update.

by holding down the home button and pressing power button

And idog&bones. My numbers before injectors were changed (low mileage non LR ones). 12 months before the engine died.
